Traditional Lemon Rice
This is how we make lemon rice at home when we want something quick, comforting, and full of flavor without too much effort.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 green chili (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add green chili and sauté briefly.
- Mix in cooked rice and salt.
- Turn off heat and mix in fresh lemon juice.
Tips & Variations
- If the rice feels sticky, spread it out before mixing.
- You can add roasted peanuts for extra crunch.
- Leftovers store well for one day in the fridge.
